All That Jazz

I know these weblogs, bulk emails, and general accounts of people's everyday lives can sometimes be, for want of a better expression, piss boring. So in the interests of keeping you, the dedicated fan, awake, I've decided to air some of our dirty laundry, as it were.

That got your attention, didn't it - stickybeaks!

So, this our toilet.

It has been a point of contention lately because it gets blocked so easily. And when it gets blocked, it overflows! And you know who always has to put his hand down amongst it to unclog the darn thing, don't you! Yuck!

Yes, although we love our little flat it has had its moments over the last three months: damp on the walls, heating problems, three months with no vacuum cleaner (the landlord said he'd have it for us in the first week), and now a shower whose temperature options have been reduced to either scolding or freezing.

Leisa thinks I whinge too much about the shower, and all showers in general. But nevertheless, it has to be said, the showers over here are abysmal. No pressure at all. You really do have to run around in them to get wet.

But it's not all bad. Seriously.

I have fixed up the link to the photos of Rob's wedding now. So scroll down to the link at the bottom of Visitors Galore and check them out.

And, how about a comment before you go.

Visitors Galore!

Hello to everyone Down Under.

Well, we have had a plethora of people visiting us in the last two months. It really is amazing how popular you become when you move to London. Since Lou and John left we've had Joey, Rachel ( Leisa's sister), Michelle and Nick (friends from the US), Maria (Leisa's friend), and Stephen McKie.

We had some funny nights with Joey. One night, after seeing the musical, Guys and Dolls, Joey and I started reminiscing about the time we all went to see the Phantom as kids. Joey was quite bitter about the fact that he had to stay in the Motel because "he was too young to appreciate the Phantom", while the rest of us enjoyed a jolly good night at the opera. And of course, there was the singing of the Phantom songs to the CD in the car all the way back from Melbourne - those were the days. A whole lot better than the best hits of Rolf Harris, though. Or the Pan Pipe Flutes collection.

Enough of these family orientated anecdotes. The reason why Michelle and Nick were with us for a week is because friends of ours that we met in Japan, Rob and Asuka were getting married!
